What can TreeHouse do for me?
TreeHouse takes home automation to the next level, embarking on the age when we we'll no longer tell a computer to turn on the lights in a room for which it already knows is dark. Imagine a day when you won't be required to carry your mobile device everywhere you go - at least not for the purpose of turning off your lights when you leave home. Wouldn't it be nice if your home knew when presence hasn't been detected and automatically turns off, not just the lights - but all appliances (televisions, fans, thermostats, etc), by location. TreeHouse is re-inventing home automation use cases while leveraging the latest benefits of the Internet of Things.
With the TreeHouse Home Automation/Security System, you can:

Automatically turn on your living room lights, on a gloomy day - when low light is detected (using Infrared Sensors built into smart home devices installed inside your home).

Gradually brighten your Hue light bulbs (up to 60 minutes) using the Hue transition feature.

Automatically pan Foscam IP Video Camera's to preset settings - and send a Multimedia Message (MMS) Message (not Email) directly to your mobile device.

Main features of the mobile app?
The TreeHouse mobile app enables controlling your devices from anywhere, monitor and receive notifications about what's happening at your home/business, automate lights, locks, thermostats, video camera's and more.
Read below for an overview:
Favorites View
Favorites lets you instantly access your favorite Locations, Devices or Events within your home/business. A single tap actuates a Device/Event or navigates to the Location View of a Location. A Long press navigates to the Activity Log.
Current Activity View
The Current Activity view lets you see, at a glance, what activity is currently happening across all the Components associated with your account.
Recents
The Recents Page gives you a quick overview of your home/business status with views of most recent temperature settings, favorites and current activity.
Temperatures View
Temperatures lets you instantly access the temperature control devices within your home/business. Single tap to view the details for a particular device. Long press to navigate to the Activity Log.
TreeHouse
The TreeHouse Page is the heart of the mobile app. From here, you access Components, Locations, Devices and Events.
Components View
All of the Components you have connected to the TreeHouse Raspberry Pi can be accessed from here. Single Tap to quickly view or actuate any device associated to a particular Component. Long press on a Component or press the Information Icon to navigate to the Components Properties View,
Locations View
All of the Locations within your home/business are easily accessible from the Location View. Single Tap to view Locations within the selected Location (Children) or all Devices and/or Events related to the selected Location. Press the Information Icon at the right of the Location to navigate to the Location Properties View, where you can turn on/off all associated Devices in a Location, by type.
Devices View
All Devices are easily accessible from the Devices View. Single Tap to view Events related to the selected Device. Press the on/off Icon at the right of the Device (where applicable) to actuate the Device. Long Press on a Dimmable Device (Thermostat/Light Switch or Bulb) to navigate to the Dimmer View, where you can use a Slider, Up or Down Arrows or manually key in the temperature or dim level for the selected Device. The Dimmer View is also where you can adjust the color of Hue lighting.
Events View
All Events are accessible from the Events View. Single Tap to navigate to the Event Editor. Press the on/off Icon at the right of the Event (where applicable) to actuate the Event. Long press to navigate to the Detail View where you can view the Activity Log or the Event Properties View for the selected Event.
Long pressing on a non-dimmable device navigates to the Detail view where you can view the Activity Log or the Device Properties View.
What equipment do I need to use TreeHouse?
The TreeHouse Raspberry Pi and mobile app connects otherwise disparate systems, services and devices allowing them to communicate with one another to provide home security and peace of mind.
To enjoy the benefits of being able to control all of your smart devices using a single mobile app, you'll need to own a TreeHouse supported smart hub (Components). The TreeHouse Raspberry Pi acts as a bridge and communicates to many Components directly, or through vendor provided Application Programming Interfaces.
